Iran Claims Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any destruction is not yet known and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - said they have shot down missiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments landed in a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
