President Donald Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He added that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The commander-in-chief said he’s discussed a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, come to the White House. We’re going to recognize her,” the president addressed journalists. “And in the same way with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Community members came together over the weekend at the high school in the state to honor Sarah.

Both they had been serving with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid policing efforts in Washington DC.

She behaved with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a positive energy that inspired those around her,” the principal, the principal of Beckstrom’s former high school, stated to the media. “She was caring, caring and always willing to support those in need.”

Law enforcement have accused a 29-year-old Afghan national with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County high school in June 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a law enforcement officer with distinction, per the military.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had bravery,” he told the crowd at the service. “Though her life ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to endure.”
