Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who jumped a barricade and seized the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the Australian man shoving aside camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account features recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more response on Instagram.

Some attendees also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the actors of Wicked

Many of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a dual interpretation of the popular stage production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
