Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
